Hello. My name is Ben. I put this page in to answer some questions you might have about me.

1) Where did you get the name Live Wire?

Back in the days before the Internet was popular, I was BBS-ing. I had a few local Bulliten Board Systems, that I would log onto and chat with the other local people there. At the time I wanted a name that described me. My mind would easily jump back and forth over many topics and back then I liked to make myself be unpredictable. So, when I came up with Live Wire, it seemed to fit. I even had a little ASCII logo, too, but Windows doesn't support some of the characters anymore. Since the internet came, I don't use Live Wire much anymore.

2) Why do you still call yourself that on this web site?

Ummm, dunno. Maybe I'll change that the next time I re-create this web page.

3) Why do you even bother having a web page?

It came with the paid internet access. Why not?

4) The information on this web site is outdated and not correct. What's up with that?

Well, I'm a teacher and deliver pizzas as my sources of income. And when I have a free moment, I'm usually doing one of the other things I like to do, like programming, writting, and reading. So, I probably won't update this site a whole lot.

5) Sweet! You program? Could you make me a sweet program?

Ummm, no. I don't usually do requests. If you e-mail me, I'll think about it and see if I get the motivation to do something I didn't think of.

6) What do you program in?

I am pretty fluent in Visual Basic version 5. I have programmed in many versions of Basic including Atari Basic, TI Basic, Apple Basic, PC (Dos based) Basic, and Mac Basic. So, Visual Basic just came natural for me. I did learn a little C, and I know enough HTML to make a decent web page. If you want to see and laugh at some of my programs they will be available on my Programs page.

7) What do you write?

Mostly Science Fiction and Fantasy, but I am not limited to those. My mind keeps inventing Improbable Inventions and starts incorporating them into stories, hence the SciFi bent. Those will appear in my Stories page.

8) What do you read?

Sci-Fi and Fantasy, go figure. I also like a good mystery and/or fiction.

9) Do you have a picture of yourself?

Yeah, I think I have a picture here somewhere. <Ben looks around his desk.> <He spots a picture on the edge of his desk.> <He reaches for it and falls out of his chair.> Yup. Got it right here. Now I just need to get a scanner hooked up.

10) Any thing else?

Yeah. God is number one in my life. I try everyday to have a private time with Him. Anything else you need to know about me is probably on one of the other pages, here, somewhere.
