Interesting Pagan Posts...
actually, this post wasn't from a pagan... but I think any pagan would
agree with the sentiments expressed.

No, what the misguided Cruxtoid was doing was re-posting (and typo-ing)
a review of the Bible picked up elsewhere on the Net...
the corrected version below:
Christians! Repent your useless and shit-filled lies!

Here's one that went to alt.religion.druid over a month ago. This will be
my last for today but I may post the Aphrodite & Adonis and Rose of the
Prophet posts (or a combined version) tomorrow or later this week.
------------------
When browsing at the library the other day I came across an
interesting pose depicted and described on pp.162-163 of
The Tantric Way by Mookerjee & Kanna, 1977, Thames & Hudson,
London.
This is an "asana in which a couple embraces as a creeper
enfolds a tree, called `lata-sadhana,'..."
In the picture there is a m-f couple. Each stands on one
leg, with the inner foot of one braced against the outer
foot of the other. (I imagine
if they have different leg lengths then one might have to
stand on a very firm step but keep the foot flat). The
other leg is wrapped around behind the partner, crossing
the sacrum, and the two ankles seem to touch.
>From the drawing the same arm as the raised foot,
or opposite to rooted foot, is draped around for stability
(plus the hands may come all the way around to
nipples) and the other arms are free to rove. Both sides
should be done, or alternate, though in the picture he
is on his right foot and she on her left foot.
It isn't obvious from the drawing which leg goes over which
behind but experiment for best clitoral stimulation; I
suspect, in the case of a m-f couple, the often more flexible
woman partner might have her leg higher. But this might not
be the best for stimulation, follow up if you know.
For non-druids, I call this a druidic tantric sex pose
since it is related to the way mistletoe enfolds the oak.
[actually to the way a creeper enfolds a tree, and I was
told by one druid that mistletoe isn't really a creeper
but grows in straighter parasitic spears from the juncture
of branches and trunk.]
Someone e-mailed me to say that a ritual at
the Temple of Karnak in Egypt (according to a recent
A&E cable show) related Divine Masturbation to creation
of the universe (reforming of the universe?). Anyone
know anything about that.

Hmmm. I got my first internet account in the fall of 1989, but had to
concentrate on computer science and didn't spend much time on alt groups.
When I discovered and posted to alt.magick for the first time it was
already up and running. Tyagi was still trying to figure out how to
spell his name, Amanda was Net Goddess (her photo was captioned that way
in Forbes, to great online hilarity), and of course, josh was there. My
understanding is that josh newgrouped alt.magick because alt.pagan was
hostile to Christian magicians. Some things never change.
I read alt.pagan a bit, and even posted a couple of times, but the group
was not congenial to magicians. After a while the alt.pagan cabal took
control of the group, and things got looser and more interesting. As I
recall, the Cabal was composed of Lorrie, Wildcard, Ounce, and a couple
of others. The Cabal specialized in deflating pompous twits who shouted
down interesting conversations. The Cabal members were unanimous in their
opinion that the Cabal didn't exist.
I think alt.religion.wicca was newgrouped as a response to the depredations
of the (nonexistant) alt.pagan Cabal. I may be wrong about this, since
I don't pay much attention to Wiccans. I do recall great wailing and
gnashing of teeth about how rude the Cabal was.
No history would be complete without a discussion of notable net kooks.
The first I remember was JOHN_WINSTON, a fundamentalist flying saucer
nut who drove me to learn about killfiles. Right behind JW came the
Doctress Neutopia, that UMass feminist incarnation of the techno-goddess.
josh geller finally newgrouped her own newsgroup, something like
alt.religion.neutopia, and she retired there in good grace to carry on
her futuristic ministry. At the time they seemed like terrible bores,
but compared to modern net kooks like carmlo they were postitively
entertaining.
I don't recall who newgrouped alt.magick.tyagi, but Tyagi immediately
saw the possibilities and started posting syncretic documents there.
alt.magick.chaos was newgrouped by chaosians (Tzimon)
alt.magick.order was newgrouped as a place to put the endless rehashing
of magical order politics - OTO, COS, Golden Dawn and such.
alt.magick.ethics was newgrouped for the lightpath/darkpath discussions.
alt.pagan.magick was newgrouped because some pagans felt alt.magick was
hostile to paganism.
alt.magick.folk was newgrouped by those interested in hedge witchery.
Brewich was originally a PC BBS, and I think tx.religion.paganism was
a gated discussion group from Brewich. Donal would know about this.

93 All!
Those of you, who are always looking for interesting websites on Crowley,
O.T.O., Thelema etc. should visit my page of links
"The 93 Current"
Up to now it contains about 70 more or less sorted and reviewed links to
the IMHO best sites on thelemic subjects and it will be updated
permanently.
In the near future I will probably add some texts and pix, too.
I would be glad if some of you would visit my page and perhaps even drop a
line or two making suggestions (esp. links to sites you missed on my page),
critizism etc.
Many thanks!!

If at any time you think I have the answer then please ask me the question.
We are all seekers.
What is Paganism?
We are the power in everyone
We are the dance of the moon and the sun
We are the hope that will never hide
We are the turning of the tide
