Copy the addresses below the "cc:" to the "Cc:" field of your email programme after adding the postmaster of the offender's ISP. cc: US Postal Inspection Service , National Fraud Information Center , "Ms. Broder" , pyramid@ftc.gov net-abuse@nocs.insp.irs.gov, Subject: Illegal pyramid scheme. Thank you for your unwanted and illegal e-mail pyramid scheme. Your e-mail has been forwarded to Ms. Broder (bbroder@ftc.gov), Staff Attorney of the Bureau of Consumer Protection and to the FTC department set up to handle pyramid schemes (pyramid@ftc.gov). You also have been reported to the IRS (net-abuse@nocs.insp.irs.gov) since most income from such illegal scams are not reported to them. You have also been reported to the National Fraud Information Center (NFIC), a non-governmental organization which deals with these things. This agency (fraudinfo@psinet.com) was formed by large commercial companies and the state's attorneys general. Their purpose is organize, classify, and forward potential fraud materiel to the appropriate body: the state Attorney General, FTC, FBI, Secret Service, etc. As email fraud falls under the jurisdiction of postal fraud, a copy of your post has also been forwarded to the US Postal Inspection Service (jccheezum@uspis.gov). In addition, by copy of this email, your Postmaster has also been notified of your illegal message. Chain letters are a form of gambling, and sending them through the mail (or delivering them in person or by computer, but mailing money to participate) violates Title 18, United States Code, Section 1302, the Postal Lottery Statute. Porno spam gets my short response: "Please stop sending me this stuff. My mommy and my daddy don't like me looking at these things." I have a different tactic to use with religious spam trying to convert me to Christianity or get me involved with Bible study. I give them one warning that any repetition of the spam will be re-posted to alt.satanism and then follow through on my warning if they repeat the spam. I've only had to do that twice so far. Posting to *this* newsgroup seemed to attract the evangelists like honey attracts bees. Since starting to use *that* tactic, the amount of religious spam I have received has dropped to almost nothing.
