Since my Y2K preparation book is still a proposal being submitted by my agent to publishers, the best way you can improve the chances that there will be a Y2K-preparation book by me with the latest information available is to subscribe to this list. You can consider a subscription request a vote for this book.

If you aren't familiar with my work, go to my Y2K page, my book will be a vastly expanded version of that page carrying everything that I think needs to be said that doesn't fit the format of the page.

My main information source for this book is the Internet, this is important because the Internet is where the most important and current discussions of Y2K issues are taking place. What is on my Y2K page and will be in the book is the best information I could sift out of comp.software.year-2000 and various Y2K mailing lists and Web sites. The point of the book from an Internet user is I've sifted out the useful information so the reader won't have to, as keeping up to date on Y2K info via newsgroup is close to a full-time job by itself, that newsgroup has a volume of several hundred posts a day, most of which aren't worth reading. The non-Net user has no way to get to the useful portions at all, at least until this book comes out.
